Aloha! feeling tropical

Well, many of you may have winter weather but we are on our way to summer in houston. 80s today. Anyway I got some new DCWV stacks of paper and I put some of them together for a tropical page because when you see papers with gold foil pineapples and palm trees, you have to use them!

These photos are from the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Hawaii booth and if you have been then I am sorry but you will now start craving that darn kalua pork slider. I used the fruit and pineapple papers from the DCWV Joie de Vivre stack, the background and gold foiled palm are from the Beach House Stack, and the other patterned papers and love banner piece are from the Flower Shop Stack. These are very different stacks but pieces of them work perfectly for my layout.

since I know you cant see the beautiful foiled accents I took this photo sort of sideways to show how cool they really are. Oh and by the way I use Ball brand Herb cutting scissors as fringe scissors, they sort of twist as they cut and I love the look. That's the slider that makes me drool.

and for the title, I cut a thick script title out of white cardstock using my silhouette, then punched holes and stitched it with floss. I love the way it turned out. Super easy, just takes a little time and the title has to be thick enough to hold up to the stitching.

Gorgeous layout! I love how you stitched your title. Can you tell me what font you used? Take care, Kim :)

Kim - I do not have a way to respond to you other than leaving a comment here. It is not a font. Its a cut file from Silhouette, but a thick cut file would work
